The Saalach carves its way through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Salzburg region and offers along the way many great sections to discover with a packraft, from easy to some of the most difficult whitewater in Austria.

This tour will take us to the heart of the Saalach valley where we will paddle the most popular section of the river running from Lofer towards Bavaria,

We will start the day with paddling and rescue training before discovering this iconic stretch. For the first half of the day, we will float through rapids (medium, up to class 2 ) and quiet but nonetheless beautiful sections; where we will have time to build up our confidence. After a short break the river will take us along a more challenging part with bigger Rapids (advanced, up to class 3); But don't worry!, if you wish those could easily be avoided by carrying your packraft around on a easy pass.
